NGN - Netzgesellschaft Niederrhein opts for signion's integrated asset management solution

Following a call for tenders, Netzgesellschaft Niederrhein has opted for signion's integrated asset management solution and the implementation has already begun. Signion was able to prevail over a large number of applicants due to the best price/performance ratio.

Due to the signion division packages, it was possible to start using the system in the water division immediately after procurement.

All water assets were transferred to the signion system. The data in the signion system goes through a step-by-step quality assurance process. Data deficiencies, missing data and inconsistencies are identified and, if necessary, passed on to Netzgesellschaft Niederrhein for correction.

The result is a central and ISO-compliant asset register that allows easy access and evaluation of all asset data. The event data such as condition assessments, failures and maintenance information complete the data situation and provide a good platform for strategic and operative asset management. The specific lifetimes, replacement values and, if necessary, suitable value assumptions are added to the operating assets.

A valuation of the operating assets for the presentation of a strategy oriented to the goals of the network company was also added. Thus, the basis was created for the presentation of the network condition and the preparation of analyses and reports with corresponding forecasts on investment measures and their effects on defined target values. Netzgesellschaft Niederrhein has thus laid the foundation for integrated asset management and will gradually expand the application in the other divisions.
